Dr. Micah Kubic, Executive Director of Kansas ACLU, will be presenting “Civil Rights and Civil Liberties in 2026”. Dr. Micah W. Kubic has served as the Executive Director of the ACLU of Kansas since January 2022. With more than twenty years of experience in civil rights and racial justice work, Micah leads one of the largest advocacy organizations in the state, defending and strengthening the rights that belong to everyone under the Constitution.

The next installment of our Virtual Meet the Candidate Series is here featuring Chris Mann, candidate for Kansas Attorney General. Chris Mann is a former federal and state prosecutor. Throughout his career, he has focused on protecting consumers, strengthening public safety, and ensuring the rule of law is applied fairly and consistently. Chris will discuss the role of the Attorney General in defending Kansas law, protecting constitutional rights, and maintaining public trust in our legal institutions. Participants will have the opportunity to hear directly from the candidate, learn about the priorities shaping the 2026 race, and ask questions about the future of justice and accountability in Kansas.

The top priority for Women for Kansas in 2026 is Voting NO on the August primary state constitutional amendment that seeks to directly elect state supreme court justices. We oppose this amendment because it undermines Judicial Independence.
