Virtual Chapter of Women for Kansas Welcomes Retired KU Professor Jeanne Klein and a Presentation on the Kansas Suffrage Movement

Women for Kansas celebrate Women’s Equality Day with a presentation by retired KU professor Jeanne Klein about the Kansas Suffrage Movement and the fight for women’s voting rights in the Sunflower State. As a member of the Kansas Suffragist Memorial Committee, she provided brief biographies of 13 “Rebel Women” depicted in Phyllis Garibay-Coon’s mural now installed at the State Capitol. Her presentation on the Kansas Woman Suffragist Movement intends to inspire all Kansas citizens with a greater appreciation of their voting rights. Watch here.

It’s the latest public institution under assault by people obsessed with destroying any semblance of a common good. We need people who believe in government, not hateful bureaucrats eager to scrap crucial institutions people depend on for upward mobility if not basic survival.
